I think he decided to get some things done in spite of Republican obstructionism, and is not shying away from a fight about it, if that's what the Republicans want. Meanwhile, we have the Republicans trying to make it sound like the entire CFPB was up for a vote, and that's what they wanted to stop. Which is ludicrous.

Interesting brushoff of all the evidence and arguments offered here about what's at stake. Very careful analyses that said the Obama folk were (1) giving Cordray an extra year to make certain the consumer agency took root by waiting one day; (2) that the Republican senate recalcitrance about appointments led to the inability of two agencies to function so the appointments were necessary; and (3) the Cordray appointment positioned Obama to campaign as protectors of Main Street against Wall Street, favored by Reps in precisely this moment. Alright, now was posturing a thought a you had or do you have some evidence to offer as a counter argument to the material already posted?
