I agree with you, Jim. Sold most of my MUEI the past couple of weeks. Bailed out of the rest at the open.

A takeover is the only immediate fix, and I never count on that. Sales are good, but the cost structure sucks. By the time they get that under control (if, in fact, they do have the stomach to cut the expenses in the middle of a big promotional push), who knows what sales will look like. Maybe it will bounce, but no recovery for awhile IMO.

Good luck all.

<< Computers are getting cheaper and this will severely hurt this stock. >>

I hope your message gets through. Sub $500 PC's are right around the corner. MUEI can't sell theirs at current levels. I don't understand what's holding GTW up. I have a feeling the slump in Notebooks will hurt boxmakers across the board, includding DELL and CPQ. We've seen a lot of price slashing there. Could be they'll all get caught holding inventory like MUEI. Eventually, profit margins will sink to the ground, and only the strong will survive. Even then, their earnings won't be as attractive.

It's still not over in Asia, either. Big bank in Japan just threw in the towel. Korea's worse. Hong Kong isn't settled but for the moment. Investor reaction to AMAT's positive earnings (stock down) speaks volumes. There are a lot more bumps in this road. I was hurt this morning, but I'm out now and looking for safety.

Best of Luck. Opinions only.
