Mike..Did the old "switcheroo" this morning from GLM to DO. Enjoyed the comparison to RIG..and figured, why not buy the best of the deepwater drillers? Off it's 52 week high of 67 1/2 [my last trades of DO were in the 60s..and did very well]. So, does it make sense to you to pay a possibly slightly higher premium to own the leader?
Feel fortunate in this market to escape my large position of GLM bought on "Merciless Monday" [with a small loss by averaging down]. Market timing...Who knows?

Mike

I just saw a report that showed FGII has .4% institutional ownership.
Talk about undiscovered! NE has 76%, and RON 87% for comparison. At the risk of sounding too into TA, I suppose this could mean this stock has less downside risk with such low institutional ownership, but great upside potential when they discover it, after something happens to get their attention. <g>

BTW do you know how soon the second shipyard they are building will be up and running... maybe it is already? It is supposed to focus on offshore platforms. How much do you think it will increase their capacity?

Regards,

TomLF

Mike I heard a simular rumor. Confused as to previous reports that FGII is booked solid for the next 3 years. So the rumor of another big contract? The most recent news that comes to mind is when BA announced that they had so many contracts for planes, that there would be a delay in shipments. Stock down $7.00 in one day.
Look, I am long MDCO and would love to know that they were getting another deep drill rig.
Best luck
David
