I know, but people aren't going to listen to me. So I have found a few references that back up my point that competition is closing in on all sides of COMS. I'm talking big competitiors like INTC, CPQ, and CSCO. ASND isn't going to roll over and die either. They will slash prices like crazy to fend off COMS.

Here is a link to several articles talking about the competition moving in on COMS.

Here is an article mentioning problems with COMS routers and switches

3Com's fall from grace is the stunner in this Product Report. First in product features
last year, 3Com dropped to sixth this year. Despite achieving the highest percentage in
the most-improved category, 3Com faltered in product criteria.

Warren Blanchard, vice president of Adirondack Computer Services, Ballston Spa, N.Y.,
has found glitches in new 3Com router and switch products. "3Com has pushed
products out too fast and refused to take responsibility when those products failed,"
he says. "Getting tech support takes weeks."
