You assume dealing with this is bad for the economy.
The opposite is true.

With 5 Hoovers still in the debate, the situation still has a lot of deterioration baked in to it.

"get the current resident out of the White House"... 2016; the R's are snatching defeat out of victory by going crazy in public. Obama is the luckiest person on the planet.

Lean and Rind Estimate Human and Natural Global Warming
Posted on 11 January 2012 by dana1981,KR

In a paper a few years back, Lean and Rind (2008) performed a very similar study to one we recently examined from Foster and Rahmstorf (2011), filtering out short-term effects on global temperature to tease out the human and natural contributions to global warming. To accomplish this, the scientists used a multiple linear regression (MLR) analysis to determine the contributions of the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO), solar activity, and anthropogenic influences on the measured global surface temperature changes.

<<<Now when are we going to quit whistling past one another, get the current resident out of the White House and get down to more pressing matters at hand; like saving our economy?>>>

And as the rest of the world continues to slip economically, we show better numbers today in employment and the stock market continues to do well. How do you think we should "fix" the economy?

The economy continues to heal - with the exception of the loss of jobs in the housing industry. Some how we need to get this segment of workers employed again and they're not going to be changed into bankers or nuclear scientist. But they could find good work in renewable energy projects if our country didn't have their head up their ars about GW. Obama has failed on this - but his failure still is dwarfed by much of the right wing that remains in denial.
