Interestingly, I was discussing this with a colleague last evening.

While the suit may end up being withdrawn by Cyrix, it is possible that they will still attempt to go for the damages and fees (given the agreement with National Semi, the injunctive relief would appear to no longer be relevant).

It will be interesting to see what happens.

I don't recall reading that "Cyrix has been bashing Slot 1 for the last nine months". Could you please direct me to said articles?
My guess is that Cyrix has been working on a Slot one design since
August...or at least checking out the feasibility.
