It takes a strong government to fight the military industrial complex , oil giants and Wall street lobbyists.

You understand the contradiction inherent in that statement right? The military industrial complex, at least one that is beyond being very small, is a result of big government. The lobbyists are an indirect result of big government, since government controls so much, they want to influence government. The bigger government is, the more of them there will be, and the more power they will have. As for oil companies the only thing that needs to be fought is any special privileges or restrictions on trade they might extract from government. Big government doesn't battle corruption and power grabbing in corporations, it drives it forward.

The rich are running our lives

Nonsense.

and stealing our welath

To the extent they are (which you greatly exaggerate) they are doing so through government. More government intervention in the economy = more theft and corruption.

busting our unions

In terms of the private sector the only movement is against union restraint of trade. As for public sector unions, there relationship with government is extremely corrupt, and provides a much better example of "stealing our wealth" then your charge against the rich.

lowering our pay

1 - Median compensation has not been in a downward trend.
2 - My pay is beteeen me and my employer. The rich in general have nothing to do with it.

and slanting taxes in their favor.

The rich pay a far higher share of their income in federal taxes than the non-rich.
