There are no tea party candidates running. Newt sat on a couch with Pelosi promoting the myth of global warming. And he's for amnesty. And individual mandates. And Fannie/Freddie. Santorum wants to open the borders and voted for all of Bush's big spending proposals. And got trounced for re-election in Pennsylvania. Ron Paul wants to destabilize our national defense. And Mitt likes the state individual mandate and maybe even cap and trade. After all the commotion, I've come to the conclusion that MItt is the best of a bad lot because he knows how to manage a budget and because he's better on immigration than the others. Also, he has been successful in the past getting votes from independents, so he's the only one with a chance in hell of beating Obama.

You are precisely right, Peter. Your comments are very inspiring and well said. That reality of America today is that you, me, and every other conservative could sit down and have vibrant and productive discussions about the future of America and what type of conservative candidate we want to lead us. The problem is that we are faced with an opponent who doesn't care about the issues, or discussing anything. They only care that Black man is facing a White man. That is all it comes down to for them. When 96 percent vote along racial lines, we know it for a fact. The real killer is the 41 percent of Whites who voted for Barack. How on Earth can we ever hope to reach them? I cannot imagine the degree of self-loathing someone must feel to do something like that in the privacy of a voting booth. Seriously. There are no words to adequately describe that. -ng-
