You are the one who said education was worthless without jobs to go to? Like you had no idea the primary benefit of education is wisdom and knowledge. Connecting education to jobs is really missing the point of education. I don't think you really value education.

And you know what those unemployed educated Egyptians will do? They will be the ones to teach the others about democracy and ethics and modern civilzation.

You don't seem to know that the mind needs to be developed with the wisdom of others, just like the body needs exercise. That the reason we have civilzation is because we developed writing and were able to pass on our knowledge to the next generation.

Seems to me most kids I know benefited greatly from our public school system. You think we were better off before we had comprehensive public education for every kid K through 12?

How is it you think public education is so bad? The majority of the people I know got their education by public education. So what in hell are you talking about?

You never make any sense at all? What is wrong with public education? Many of my friends kids went to the best universities in the world right out of public high schools. Most of the kids at UC Berkelely for instance came from public shools and those kids are as educated and smart as they come.

So what are you talking about? You live in a fantasy world Bob and you refuse to learn.

<<The question is not the worth of education. The question is the value of education that is handed out as an entitlement.

The more the government is involved the less the education will be education.

<<The more the government is involved the less the education will be education. >>

But I'll bet you think having religion involved in education is just fine, right Bob?
