>> And if he does......he will energize the Republicans to an unprecedented level.

Not only that.

I think we'll see a fast surge in the economy (which the Ds will claim credit for, after-the-fact).

Our economy has problems -- but removing Obama will instill badly needed consumer confidence, regardless of who is elected.

It has been interesting today to listen to Newt heaping praise on Ron Paul. It is clear that Paul will end up with a cabinet position if Newt gets the nomination; and I'd wager it will be very publicly discussed before the election.

I thought Newt was DOA; I'm starting to think he could actually pull this thing out. It will be interesting to see whether the R. pundits are going to sit down and shut up if it becomes apparent Newt is going to take it.

" If Newt keeps on point and maintains discipline......he can do it"

LOL! You REALLY don't know Newt! I suggest you review his history.

TWY, personally I think anyone who considers Newt to be "anti-establishment" or an "unabashed conservative [who] confidently and eloquently embraces a conservative philosophy" is truly naive.

It should be obvious. They WANT Gingrich to run against Obama.
