The entire system could be turned around over night with a few changes but there would be some pain. 1) Flat rate tax of 20% for individuals and corporation with no deductions. 2) Increase military spending to 10% of the GDP. 3) No minimum wage. 4) 3 criminal convictions and you're banished to a penal colony in Africa. 5) All union activity suspended until books are balanced. 6) Teach reading, writing and arithmetic in school with emphasis on learning a trade by graduation. Let them decide after school if they want to believe in intelligent design or creationism. 7) Hang from the Brooklyn Bridge any elected official or civil servant responsible for any Solyndra type scandal and at the very least convict on criminal charges the citizens that helped it along. 8) Hold all public officials, police, lawyers and judges to the highest possible codes of conduct. 9) Citizens held to same standard for all contract work done for federal government 10) Everyone law abiding citizen to take firearm handling course.
