The housing market's going to get tighter as the foreclosure inventory gets burned off over the next 12-18 months. This is going to tick rates up a bit and cause more action in the housing market. The rising, higher rates are going to cause more home buying than the low rates we have now. Fence sitters are going to see the prices start rising from low supply and a historic low rate environment evaporating before their eyes and the land rush is on. The rush to buy is going to be the first wave of the housing recovery and is going to push up rates more.
Get the timing right by shorting bonds and you shall have a windfall.
