At a time when people are looking for jobs, I think it is politically unwise for Obama to seek to establish a energy infrastructure that in steeped in a high infrastructure establishment cost. Granted we need to preserve our environment but we can only do so when we have the means to preserve ourselves first through a job.

I presume these environmentalists are rich bastards like Romney. They have so much money that they do not need to work. While Romney is making money by pushing money, these environmentalists are even worse in that they are pushing their pet political ideologies on the backs of the unemployed.

I think Obama should approve the Keystone project "in principle", pending the results of the findings for routing the pipeline through areas such as Nebraska etc. When Obama is on public record as saying that job creation is his number one priority, people are expecting his to demonstrate that. And he has failed to do so with his decision on Keystone. He is definitely losing the upper hand he gained during the Republican party's fiasco with the tax credit extension before the Christmas break.

When people are unemployed, practicality should trumps ideology

Just my two cents.
