Government has no business being in housing! Governments role is not to be in bed with banks - Fannie and Freddy - but as a regulator.

Furthermore, the deduction for the home mortgage needs to end now. Even that is a subsidy to home owners by government and it is paid for by those whose house is paid for and by renters.

And yes, lower prices. But prices because of this government involvement we have a long ways to go down yet. Because of government involvement and over supply. But that isn't Obama's fault - that's the fault of several adminstrations before him all taken to new heights of ridiculousness under Bush.
