Argh!!!! I just accidentally 'recommended' your post, when I actually meant to hit 'reply'. So please deduct one recommendation from the total when you look at that number. <g> Forgive me. I'm new here.

I respect almost all of your statements, even though I disagree with a few of them. They're well thought out and well-presented.

But I do take issue with your 'The track record is the track record.'

When the media, and the republican establishment, are using the fact that Santorum 'lost in a landslide' as a major weapon against him, the reasons that he did so are of major importance. And when those reasons are all respectable, and even admirable, to the huge majority of conservatives, the 'lost in a landslide' label no longer holds any credence. As a matter of fact, it is a form of deception when used to sway conservatives away from supporting him.

The reasons for negative labels need to be explained. I wouldn't go around claiming that Davy Crockett was a weak fighter because he was 'slaughtered at the Alamo'. :)
