I know we do not spend enough on education.

Get real. After all the money tax payers have thrown down the bottomless pit of tenured cogs hoping that money is the answer, you want more? Education sucks more and more money every year,,,,,,and we have absolute jack to show for it.
We've increased money paid for education year after year, teachers salaries and perks have increased year after year...... Cripes! Most major colleges have a portfolio larger than a small country! Do I have to remind you of the definition of insanity???

And it is not the teachers fault when kids fail, it is the parents.

If this is true, how will more money fix it? Are you going to buy better parents for the kids?
