Koan, I actually agree with you that in most cases the problem is the parents. That is exactly why throwing more money at the system will fail. If the parents don't value education and set a good role model, then head start or community colleges won't make a difference. Perhaps you should follow your reasoning to its logical conclusion. Since the parents are the problem, remove the children from the homes. I am sure that the state can raise them better. Bring back orphanages.

No competition, no science, no math all feel good stuff all PC stuff, have you seen the books they make the boys read. By the time boys have reached HS they have had enough of the BS
