Hello! Milk, You asked the question " Can this stock be shorted?". This is only my opinion, but what I have seen and heard on other threads, and from some of the financial institutions that I deal with, the impression that I get, is that NASDAQU B.B. stocks can not be legally shorted! So, if someone is somehow able to circumvent the system and are able to "sell short" a NASDAQU B.B. stock , then I believe the term given to this type of shorting activity is "naked shorting!". I called two Brokers , and asked them , if I wanted to short a NASDAQU B.B. stock ( such as CVIA!) would I be able to make such a stock transaction through their Brokerage House? The answer was the same from both Brokers! NO! So, for what ever it's worth , there is my personal opinion to be shared by the CVIA thread! If some has some information that either supports or proves other wise I would appreciate hearing your thoughts and opinions! By the way, J.R. , thank you for sharing your findings , following your discussion with Jack Arnold! I also have had the opportunity to have a dialogue with Jack Arnold and other CVIA representatives , in fact very recently! The information that you posted is " Right On The Money!", Well Reported! ( At least in my own personal opinion!) I will review my recent communication , with CVIA Management , and if there is anything further to add, I will post it at a later point in time , this weekend! Just a personal thought on some of the growing interest in wanting this thread to start a campaign to do a call for CVIA share certificates! Although I think that this is a commendable action plan to support and protect CVIA shareholders from " naked shorting, etc.", I first would like to give the CVIA Management the opportunity to make more progress announcements regarding the possible merger! To this point I have been extremely pleased with the way Jack Arnold has represented the interests of the CVIA shareholders, and personally I am hoping that once we get significant merger news, that the interest level in the market place will look after the share trading value of the CVIA shares! ( Just my opinion if and when it happens!). One final thought, if at some point , there does become a need to do a call for CVIA share certificates, then I would suggest that one of the first steps would be to communicate these thoughts and plans with the CVIA Management team , and get their opinions and feedback, before proceeding with a potentially , very time consuming project ! Thank you For Your Patience! Best Regards, Wayne J.
