This is the language about God and religion found in the Declaration and Constitution. I'm glad to hear you're okay with there being a creator (for if there isn't, the part about being endowed with inalienable rights is void), with mankind needing to recognize the laws of nature's God, and with free exercise of religion as a basic right:

the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God ...

We hold these truths to be
self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, [75] that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
