Current law requires that law firms find a specific plaintiff
before initiating a class action suit. But this has done nothing
to stunt opportunism among lawfirms. Everyone knows that law
firms instigate class action suits for their own benefit and
nothing else.

In Oxford's case, the lawsuits are definitely products of
the lawyers, as indicated by the sheer number of firms trying
to get a piece of the action. If anything, this hurts
the shareholder cause because it makes it harder to get
each suit to qualify as class action status. I referred
to them as shareholder suits because technically, that
is what they are.

The article is relatively positive because that is the
way I view the situation for first-time Oxford investors.
