Does anyone have an opinion or analysys on how the financial crisis in South Korea may affect Ampex??

The reports I've seen or read indicate that Korean companies are typically heavily leveraged ( 3 times higher than US Co.s) and that it is quite possible that one or more of Korea's huge conglomerates may be forced into insolvency. It seems many Korean companies expended huge amounts of capital building facilities and ramping up production in many areas (memory chips, steel, cars, ...) for forcasted growth. Unforetunately, many other companies in southeast Asia did the same, flooding the markets with product and more than exceeding the growth in demand which turned out to be less than expected. I am wondering if Samsung or maybe even Maxtor could be one of these companies with severe problems. If so, this could be another reason why Ampex's share price is continuing to slide and slide and....sliiiiiiiiide, as this could hamper even the faintest of possiblities there is for KM with these two companies.

Any reasonable (this obviously excludes Paul) information, analysis or opinion is welcomed.

Sal

PS - still no response from either Axc or CNN on possible use of DST in CNN's conversion to digital.

Hal:
Who knows? I bought Pepsi back when everyone said not
to buy Pepsi but buy Coke as Pepsi was going nowhere. It went on
to split 2 for one and recently spun off KFC Taco Bell and Pizza
hut to me in the form of YUM at the rate of one share per 10
owned of Pepsi. I bought THQI when it was THQ at an average
price of 6 1/2 when several said stay away. Its about 18 now.For
what its worth I just got back into AXC. I think AXC wont go
lower than 1 7/8 if that and I am skeptical of it going that
low.
