Contrary to what you may think he is obvious smart and being a lawyer is thinking in strategic terms. He's not thinking about today - he's thinking about how he can use Keystone as his benefit politically. Is that what I would have done? Hell no! So why not just skip the "defending him" stuff so an intelligent conversation can be had. Me? I'd of adopted Simpson-Bowles AND I would have let the Bush tax cut extension expire. So argue either Obama's position - or my position, but please don't make the two the same.
