Well, now you're shooting the messenger again. Didn't intend to. I'd of adopted Simpson-Bowles AND I would have let the Bush tax cut extension expire. Agreed. The nonsense of "cutting taxes" is as tired the dem's mantra of "taxing the wealthy". Why, the flat tax approach isn't being discussed more than it has been, is unfortunate. That said, I will NOT give obama credit for anything other than bamboozling the electorate a few years back. Not blaming you for voting for him, but hoping you will soon see the ways of your past error. ;-)
