You have a tendency to take snap shots and say, see that? Look at that, what do you have to say about that? Instead of looking at the big picture. I am talking about the entire 3,000 year old culture and where they are today. They are evolving toward democracy just like the west did. The west had Hitler for gods sake, so we all have a ways to go for a civilized society. Asia has a rich intelligent history and has a smart philosophical tradition to build on. Buddhism, Taoism and Confuscious and others, are very enlightened and smart philosophies. They form the foundation which is helping them evolve. Because they are less dogmatic, and more thought provoking than other belief systems, they provide a good foundation for education. <<Enlightened, China is plenty enlightened. You think just because they're great at math that they're enlightened? You're starting to sound like a Mussolini lover. 10 million dead Chinese don't think so, nor do 10 million dead Russians..... More recently, nor do the protestors at Tiananmen Square.... Do enlightened societies oppress their people to death?
