Your original comment made note of "long term" but now have switched to "misallocation" of resources. Long term, oil is nothing other than a loser as it is a dwindling nonrenewable resource. There is just so much of it. What we are getting now is more and more expensive. That's just a fact. Todays oil is more expensive than yesterdays. OTOH, todays solar and wind are cheaper today than they were yesterday. They keep coming down. Furthermore! It's our energy and not some wacko country in the ME - or from Canada which is still not us.
