What are these "marketing expenses?? JMAR isn't opening retail
channels, and employing telemarketers.

Dave I agree, JMAR does not have those type of marketing expenses. Generally they will introduce products to existing customers, also they have been getting new business in the disk drive business by referral.

Not too many products get sold simply waiting for the phone to ring. Take the Light Knife. Traveling road shows (including international) to all MD/hospital/HMO conventions, booths, demos galore, samples supplied at no cost for evaluations and, yes, telemarketers (and 'net operators) are all going to cost. Infrastructure needs to be set up for sales data and product support. Alternatively, marketing and product support can be subcontracted to somebody like JMED (who, BTW, are terrific marketeers). There may be costs associated with selling to the EU like getting ISO 9000 certification (which is very costly). But the good news is that bribes wont have to be paid, as this practice has just been outlawed by international agreement. Tulvio
