Boy, I do not remember it that way at all i.e. Nixon being so friendly to the environmental movement. Live and relearn I guess.

While a personally dark and twisted soul who's paranoia consumed him, Nixon actually did try to do what he thought was best for America, while not obsessing over his "enemies". Another thing I can recall him doing is instituting wage and price controls in an attempt to control inflation. Can you imagine what would occur if Obama froze wages and prices in EVERY private enterprise in the country! econreview.com
