Teach those kids a trade, like they used to. if they don't learn a trade they will just end up in prison.

The system is broken in many cities and they only offer solutions based on providing them more funding. They should be subjected to competition by alternatives like charter schools - schools teach competition is good until it's themselves - then it's give us more money and get the protest signs out. Not all public schools are failing - but the worst ones should be allowed to fail.

That's what happens when unions get too much control. Charter schools are run by parents, educators, and companies. They can be much more efficient and productive than union run public schools. Why anyone would oppose that is obvious. McAuliffe is following the money. It's disgusting!

telling me of a teacher who's students always performed way above grade level, but now is being forced to change his style of teaching because of some misdirected desire for uniformity in curriculum.
