IV c. 73) was an 1833 Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom abolishing slavery throughout the British Empire (with the exceptions "of the Territories in the Possession of the East India Company," the "Island of Ceylon," and "the Island of Saint Helena", which were later repealed). [1] The Act was repealed in 1998 as part of a wider rationalisation of English statute law, but later anti-slavery legislation remains in force. That was only 30 some years earlier than the US and we didn't give an exemption to Land in the possession of the Koch Brothers and Warren Buffet

So the british ended slavery where they couldn't make a buck (pound) off the slaves, but keep slavery in areas where they could make big bucks off the backs of the people and their resources. and they brag about how they ended slavery

Oh, pshaw, Mq....This sentence sent me into a fit of giggles....."virtuous" Victorian Values.....hehehe... A return to Virtuous Victorian Values and reviewing of the seven cardinal sins would be a good place to start. You should give the talk instead of me....at least I could guarantee no one would fall asleep with your sense of humor and sometimes out and out wisdom..... England had bigger fish to fry in 1812. Napoleon was being really annoying, Australia, NZ, Canada/Quebec, South Africa, India, China were all looming as parts of the British Empire to be civilized and minded. A bunch of bolshie Irish and slave-driving others in the USA were not worth putting too much effort into. Slavery was not allowed by England but the Americans thought it a spiffing idea.

Going by the project code-name "Narwhal", millions of pieces of information about US voters have been collected since 2008 and are being used as tools of manipulation in 2012. Whoever created the title for this project certainly deserves a promotion and a hefty bonus for pure creativity. An Old Norse word, "nahvalr" translates into "corpse whale". A better one-word description of the "Big Change" Chicago Candidate could hardly be imagined.Narwhal: is an Artic whale that has a spotted-pelt and is characterized in the male by a long spirally twisted ivory tusk projecting from the LEFT side of its head. Webster defines "Narwhal" as a corpse due to the animal's pale color. It is a cetaceous mammal of northern seas, with no teeth except two canines in the upper jaw, of which one is frequently developed into a long projecting trunk; a sea unicorn." It has a black-spotted whitish skin resembling a human corpse. The whale breathes though a blow-hole in the head. In the article by Sasha Issenburg for Slate Magazine entitled "Obama's White Whale: How the Campaign's Top-Secret Project Narwhal Could Change This Race" we are enlightened once again of the highly organized and subversive actions taken to get, and now keep, the Democratic Chosen One in his place. The death of the private vote by the citizen is the true "corpse" here. Now the sitting president of this country knows exactly where you politically stand, and just how to control your choices. A twisted protrusion from the left has been injected into the democratic process, again. Those who are already feeling that America is approaching her "End Times" will see no end of comparisons here between a "narwhal" and the predicted "world religious-political leader" yet to be fully revealed. Perhaps even more concerning is the fact that the Obama campaign wears this code-name as a badge of honor. It is a mockery against those who hold to a biblical eschatalogy of an anti-Messiah. Do they not realize (or simply do not care) that the claim of a black/white, death-like body with no real teeth that comes from the North, grows a horn from the LEFT side of his head and takes over like a huge beast is a name chosen to represent their nation's president? It is very revealing of their true perspective. Narwhal is not my idea of a whale of a good time. Let's keep fishing for a better leader. We're going to need a bigger boat.
