Contrarian opinion is predicated on the notion that most people at any one time are wrong (correct?). "We", here on this thread, do not constitute a valid sample. But, this has been hashed out quite a lot here and elsewhere. You're not really serious about that are you? If this were an average group I might go along with you but this is definitely not your average investor here. Wouldn't you agree?
Maybe you just left out that ubiquitous (g).

Re: current technicals
Surely the SPX H&S formation (or lack thereof) at these levels is subordinate to the fundemental/macro situation at hand. I'd give the technicals about 5% weight in this scenario. And with that I'm being generous.
