Lindy thought Tradable Citizenship had been all over the waterfront, so let's leave it at that. But it wasn't $100 million. My guess would be for USA maybe $2 million and for NZ $1 million. Rwanda should be cheap. Liberia might be free to a good home.

No further payments would be needed same as buying a car, or shares in a company. Taxes could still be levied but the citizens would be the owners of said levies. The citizens would probably not be so inclined to pay them out to bludgers and would not elect politicians who think paying bludgers is a good idea. Invaders, aka "undocumented workers", "illegal immigrants" and whatnot would be frowned on.

Since non-citizens would not be voting, the incentives would be totally different from the present tragedy of the commons democratic processes as is now being displayed by Greece.
