steve, archeologists have found evidence of fossilized manlike creatures, in what appears to be various stages of development. The evidence of these creatures have appeared in varous ages of the earth's history. Prehistoric men with apelike appearanes, like the low jutting brow, long arms and squat bodies. Cro-Magnon, Neanderthal, each stage becoming just a little more like the humans of today. Evolutionists point to this as proof that their theory is correct. There has been many theories advanced about this phenomenon, one I have heard is: After Lucifer and the angels rebelled and was cast out of heaven to the earth, God began to experiment with making a living being created in his own image. During the first stages of development, these creatures had no spirit and was much like the other animals loping through the forests. After many thousands of years, maybe millions, God had completed his work on his prototype of man and gave him a conscious spirit. Maybe, God was not in a hurry to complete this phase of creation, because it had to be perfect. It took a long time, because God didn't want a repeat of what had happened with Lucifer and the angels. That is why he made man of flesh, not of spirit. If man rebelled against him, he could put them out of their misery, unlike Satan and his angels who will live in their miserable state forever. Just a theory, steve..Now, many might say, if God could create the earth and man in seven days, why did it take so long to plan his prototype? I think the earth was already created, he just renewed it.. Well, only God could answer this question, maybe he has left the answer for us somewhere, we just have to find it... But its fun to look at the story the physical earth delivers into our hands and wonder.. Regards Carol

Yes, you're absolutely right. It is believed that God did recreate the earth in six days and rested on the seventh. Thus, creating a day of rest for man. God was very considerate, don't you think? He thought of everything... The archeological evidence of man's existence is found in different layers of rock in the earth's crust, which also depicts different times in the earth's history, so to de-evolve vs evolve would not be the same. Because the layers approaching the time of modern man would become the more advanced form of human life. I am not a student of the earth's history, but have read that this is what scientists have found and believe to be true..There is, I believe, actual hard evidence of this fact.. Thank you for the correction about the creation, steve. Could you explain more fully what you mean by the "gap theory" as I have not heard of this before? Good night Carol
