Amazing airplane for sure ... as were the others you named.

The vast majority of the Mig 21s are sitting around rusting, for lack of funds to keep them flying by their owners (several in Africa). I actually got to sit in one once ... pretty spartan cockpit for sure.

C-130s have probably carried the flags of more nations than any other military plane, wouldn't you think? That's another workhorse, for sure. Lockheed has made some bucks on that one.

Just think ... there's no one on active duty now who was serving when the B-52 or the C-130 were put into service. We'll have 20 somethings flying those 'antiques' when they make that 2040 bombing run ...

I'm not sure I ever drove but one car that was older than me ... and those kids will be flying those antique airplanes every day. Boggles the mind ...........
