Sam and TexasDude,

Dragon NaturallySpeaking "only" requires 60MB. Far less than I thought a voice recognition program would use.
I just can not get back into these DD stocks until the average pc user needs the technology available.

Interesting discussion. Microsoft recently plunked down over $40 million for a piece of another speech recognition player, Lernout en Hauspie (LHSPF). I read recently that Gates believes that the way people interface with computers is going to change dramatically over the next 3-5 years as processors become more powerful and speech recognition algorithms become even more sophisticated. I believe MSFT is in the process of including parts of LHSPF tech in the various iterations of Windows over the next few years. $1.0 billion market cap for a company which only had revenues of $28 million in the September quarter!?!
