I remember driving in from the farm 35 years ago and my dad stopping to help an Indian couple with three kids and a flat tire. It turned out there was no spare and he drove them into town and gave them $50. He did things like that a lot and so did his old man. I remember one time a black man in Las Vegas a refugee from hurricane Katrina asked me for money and I said you'll buy drugs with it and he said no man I'm hungry. I took him to the nearest buffet and bought him a ticket and he started crying and hugged me in front of the whole casino. I noticed he had a bible with him with lots of sticky notes. A good friend of mine a Ukrainian lawyer will take any bum who asks for money for food into a restaurant and buy them food. 95% of the time they don't want any food the money is for some other substance. Indian couple - i.e. heterosexual Canadian First Nation Citizens, probably of Cree, Swampy Cree or Metis origin. Ukrainian lawyer - i.e. a Canadian citizen who is also a lawyer in good standing of the local bar and law society with Ukrainian immigrant parents.
