My dad had 50,000 shares of Denison mines at 50 cents. He had a piece of the ore given him by Gilbert Labine, a piece of melanocraticized qtz conglomerate with pyrite. Owen Owens, later of Cominco looked at it in our living room I remember. "Interesting, interesting" he said," but I wouldn't bother." Dad sold the stock at $1.50, the stock went to $90.00. Well it was bad geology. A conglomerate is formational. The blackening of the quartz was by radiation. He was told it was 30 feet thick. Too much caution and not enough vision can kill you.
