Well yes and no. I remember when the Japanese took 50% of the auto market. One friend, a union member, criticized me for buying a Toyota... used, after my Mom got burned badly, not knowing any better, buying a Pinto. He of course has gone on to buy many Honda's and Toyotas.

If American's truly cared we would have a government and economic system far different than the one we have now. Since that involves politics I'm not going to comment further on that.

But also, the union "LOCALS" would also have become multinational instead of keeping all the money for themselves.

The problems at Foxconn have never been Apple's fault. They go way deeper than one company doing the same thing that other companies do routinely.

Of course some people reacted emotionally to this story, rather than using the brains they were given. But that's no help, in fact THAT is what got us to this point in the first place.

The whole controversy is bogus.
