What a dishonest crock to put these two items in the same category.

They are both social spending, and both entitlement programs. They are not the same thing, but then neither are a tank and an aircraft carrier, but both of those are under defense.

Also SS is by itself larger then defense while Medicaid will be larger than both.

SS is flush with cash

No it isn't. It brings in less than it spends now. Also there is no cash supply for it to be flush with. The government can account for things as a loan from one part of the government to another, but the reality is there is no actual trust fund to draw money from. The nominal asset and liability cancel each other out leaving you with nothing. Any cash SS needs will have to come from taxes or more borrowing.

Well interest is exploding upward primarily because of the debt built up under Reagan and Bush.

Obama has much larger deficits than either of them.

The interest is exploding upwards because deficits are exploding upwards, because spending has been out of control. The majority of that spending, and the majority of the increase in spending, has been in entitlements.
