My guess is that RACE is not happy about the emergence of VPNs since it blows up most of the phone charge related cost advatages that BT had over direct dial data only remote access.

Have you checked out any of the Windows NT 4.0 RAS servers? I've got to cruise on over to the Compaq site and see what they got. Those things are something. For smaller companies the one box can operate as your lan file server and your remote access server.

Had a link to some story about a commuter college in Georgia that's created a 6,000 client VPN, but can't find it. Great story. Talk about your partners. I'll see if I can dig it up.
