People it would alienate [Palin] have based their judgment on what they heard others say, not what they found out for themselves.

My opinion also. As another poster pointed out, the majority of independents lean right, this being a center-right nation, and I believe that large numbers of them have the same values as Sarah Palin, are excited by her, and join with her on the issues. Whether she should get another nomination as VP is totally moot, as that simply will not happen.

I do accept that many were turned off by her resignation as governor, as I frankly was at the time, although I have come around to the view that it was justified by the media circus, personal attacks, family considerations, and financial circumstances of her legal defenses that all existed at the time.
