Darn good question. Why do the police say they have an eyewitness that Zimmerman was on the ground underneath Martin, and was being beaten? I suppose it is possible the police lied. Anything is possible. The truth is getting quickly lost in all the political hyperbole. I'm afraid we'll never know what happened and justice will be a product of which political group has the most clout at the moment. I guess now that we know we live in a country where even the President does not worry about prosecuting the criminals, there's no point in hoping for justice in this case either. The laws aren't being prosecuted faithfully anymore. We've move beyond the rule of law.
