Crikey, not only do you believe the tabloid BS, you believe an advertisement for a tabloid "sort of kind of true story". < after seeing an ad for a movie called Young Victoria, a love story. It has only served to reinforce my opinion of he first V in VVV and also on the usefulness of maintaining royalty. > It seems you are confusing 'virtue' as meaning 'chaste' or something. Perhaps you need a broader perspective on virtue and ethics and the like.

As I have aged, I have gone from thinking the idea of royalty as absurd to thinking it's actually quite a good idea. Having egocentric megalomaniacs as President is less attractive than having some pleasant person who is told when young that their job will be to act as supervisor in chief to keep society on the rails. Such candidates for royalty should be given an escape clause. "Press the button to abdicate if it's all too much".

All my life, Queen Elizabeth II has been there while many prime ministers have been and gone; good riddance to many of them.

Perhaps with Tradable Citizenship the desirability of a royal family would reduce.
