To all, Noticed that Ampex updated their jobs listing on the web site. The senior research position is no longer listed - I'll ask Karen whether it was filled or not, or if someone else talks to her sooner could you ask and post? There was also a new listing that looked interesting: LEGAL PATENT LICENSING STAFF ENGINEER - Provide testing and research to aid the Ampex patent licensing program. You will devise means for electronic and logic testing of acquired consumer products for infringement analysis. Review technical publications to obtain information on consumer products under consideration. Requires a BSEE or equivalent electronic experience and knowledge of video signal processing and computer architecture, preferably with programming ability. We are seeking a generalist with a broad, diverse background, to include testing and design experience, and working knowledge of diagnostics/testing for electronic/computer devices. Strong communication and recordkeeping skills are essential. Sounds like they're going in search of stealth patent infringement. Cheers, William
