Following somebody, anybody, while serving on Neighborhood Watch is doing your job. If I lived in that neighboorhood and had been the victim of a burglary or worse in the preceeding months I'd DEMAND that Zimmerman follow anybody or anything that looks out of place. Reasonable people do reasonable things. Unreasonable people lose it and when they feel they have been "dissed" don't act reasonable.

"But this guy Zimmerman was looking for a fight"

You don't know that.

But this guy Zimmerman was looking for a fight. ......... but by following Trayvon, he may well have been the instigator.

You don't know he was looking for a fight. He did follow Martin for a short distance. Based on the times, , distances and locations from the maps and the 911 call, I don't believe Zimmerman ever caught up to Martin.
The shooting took place about 220 ft from his parked truck. I believe Zimmerman was telling the truth that he was returning to his truck and was approached by Martin from behind. Bring on the lie detector.

Sure they both had the right to walk around the neighborhood.

As for Zimmerman "may have been the instigator" we don't know. We do know Zimmerman had wounds on the back of his head and grass stains on the back of his clothing consistent with the story he told of being attacked. We also know from taped 911 calls that a fight was in process and someone calling for help before the gun went off.

When I first heard of this case, I assumed because of the only facts available at the time (Martin was unarmed and Zimmerman shot him) that Zimmerman probably got overly aggressive and screwed up killing an innocent and probably harmless young man. Days later, I noticed contrary evidence coming out and subsequently found the media was putting out a lot of misleading things.
