To me, I have had a nagging suspicion from the start that Romney was a 'setup'. The media was naming him as the eventual Republican candidate from the get-go. The MSM has been much more lenient on Romney than any of the others, and in fact the media "kneecapped" Cain just a few weeks into the real process .... which told me my initial instinct that Cain was the best candidate was true - the media was afraid for Cain to be allowed to run, so they got busy and dug up enough dirt on him to get him eliminated.

We saw all the attention Newt's divorces got. Once Newt was shown to not be a threat to win the candidacy, the MSM let off on him, and has been much kinder to him. We have seen about the same story with Santorum - he hs never really been a viable candidate, and has not received a big lot of negative press coverage ... beyond the 'vest-sweater' stuff, and matters tied directly to his religion. The MSM didn't really have to waste a lot of time on him as they knew he would never gain the candidacy.

Bachman, another one who scares the media, was bombarded with negatives from jump street. The media rode her like a pony .... including the unflattering pictures on magazine covers, and all the petty little things like her voice, and her hair .... quite a strong negative campaign was waged, similar to the one employed against Sarah Palin, and they were successful in eliminating Bachman early on.

Perry - well Perry may be a decent guy, but he was never a contender for the presidential candidacy. Cursed with one gaffe after another, he was portrayed as a total clown in the media (which he definitely aided by his own actions). Another easy target for the media to take out in the early rounds.

Ron Paul ... is Ron Paul. The media doesn't have to spend much fodder on Paul. They know he will beat himself ... AGAIN ....

The other 'also rans' .... not worthy of even addressing, as far as the media goes.

Through it all, Romney has been pretty much untouched by any MSM coverage beyond superficial negativity. Some low 'murmurings', once in a while, but all in all the media has been pretty much silent on Romney, other than the 'magic underwear' and post mortem baptizing practiced by his church. They anointed him from the start as the one who will be the candidate.

Why? Well, I believe it is because the media knows they can successfully knock him out the easiest, once the general campaigning arrives. I am worried we may be getting a huge "October surprise" from the media concerning Romney - one that will cripple him as a contender for the presidency - before the November elections. Either that, or the media already knows Romney will fall right in line and continue the destruction of the USA, as Obama has been practicing from the start. It's just a nagging feeling I have had all through the process, and something I can't shake.

The media seems to know Romney will, somehow, never pose a real threat to the ongoing march to socialism we are presently experiencing, either because he will lose the election, or because he is already "in the bag" for the left.

Call me paranoid, or whatever. I just believe the media has very skillfully guided and assisted Romney in securing the nomination, and they will just as skillfully bring out some sort of negative about him that will virtually ensure Obama the presidency. I am watching his pick of a running mate very, very closely, because I think if he has a chance at all of winning in November, it will only be because he picks a running mate strong enough and appealing enough to carry him.

I hate to think the media controls the entire political process in the USA, but every day it seems more and more to be exactly that.
