If Romney (flaws and all) is elected and backed by a strong, free enterprise Congress, there is still a chance to turn the ship of state before it hits the rocks.

IMO, that's the bottom line...... Along those lines, I find that Romney has a open ear to Paul Ryan..... Gives me a warm fuzzy......

You're absolutely right about independents....... I lean libertarian and I was an independent until just recently, (after the McCain fiasco), when I changed to GOP to try and influence this very selection process..... Alas...<g>

There are a lot of libertarians online, but not so many in real life. Where did the Libertarian party get to? I don't think Libertarians could elect a dogcatcher in Las Vegas.

no one is going to much care about "free" birth control or other such trivial issues.

Every issue is trivial considered by itself.

And 'social issues' are also economic issues. When people don't rely on themselves and families they rely on the government.
