No one's not blaming Jesus for anything he being just a whistle blower on the banker/priests of the time & who wasn't going to go away so they fed him to the Romans . That part of the narrrative one can believe easily & the peace , love of living fairly & honestly in fellowship with other human brothers , well that was a nice idea been kicking around already for centuries in Greek lexicon of philosophy . ( Alexander's dream of uniting the world, epicurians & stoics ) Its the idea of that "imaginary friend" , that some imaginary debt was paid , to that is what must be straightened out . Many ,many human beings followed that helped to shed light upon injustice , abuse & offered small contributions to increased grace , enlightenment, revolution in thought & conscience. This so called debt was paid , so why did this omnipotent "Being " do nothing more ? The story goes completely haywire , there's no "god" above obviously , or devils , or demons , or angels etc . (Well maybe a wood nymph or two!) Except what is contained in this vast vessel of human nature /ourselves , back to truth--> its Nature within us , thought this so obvious even to you?

Look how we incorporate pagan myth in our celebrations even at Easter , for Pagans knew alot about fellowship & love too and thats the truth . In the end it took one Roman emperor to "convert" which changed everything for that time and that conversion was a marked event /turning point in history . But this conversion of Constantine wasn't because of some miracle of revelation , some supernatural vision or manifestation that was any real major proof of divinity . And that conversion was extremely crux to final acceptance throughout the Empire and one could suppose in that state of weakening it was probably only natural & far easier to gravitate towards monotheism when maintaining a dozen different temples to multiple dieties is an extremely taxing thing on any society . Especially one that's teetering over ... We see this transition to monothesim a very expedient one following on the heels of those pagan religions that had preceded , they had already followed the humanizing dieties in their own images & Christianity only demonstrates this to the highest degree . Not god created man in his image , the other way around ....well throw in the holy spirit which represents our own deeper profound human "Nature" when those organs of the body are operating in some ideal harmonious ways , all is good & you're seeing things "just right in the light " ! ;o)

Lot of talk about the 'Body of Christ' , well sure its always about "the body" ! (society is a body too, or tries to behave as such ) Everything in our life derives from all the organs of the body functioning together , including the one organ inside our head! Not going to find another one like it in the local universe , thats for sure and its human "bodies" getting on with other "human bodies " that is the great reality and challenge of anytime . (no myth here , but myths help when they are invested with truth & reality) Nothing from above , sorry its just the wrong place to be looking , even Jesus said as much but fundamentalist always get that part wrong looking far back or above or behind or under the magic chair ...instead of looking " here & now" whats right in front of them . Fellowship , cooperation, reasoning together , offering aid & assistance or compassion , celebrating life together , art , beauty , wisdom, charity, dedication , sacrifice, family & family of man ...they originate inside us in our nature and can be promoted .
