That is outrageous. One more example of government out of control.

Our lake place is on the Salish-Kootenai Reservation. The tribe owns the shoreline and you have to get a permit for any modifications like a dock. You have to pay the tribe a small annual fee.

The tribe also owns subsurface water, so building lots with no well have to apply to the tribe. I do not know if or how much it charges.
