Hillary should know better. Decorum does not seem to be important to this administration. I think her behavior is a non-issue, on the whole. Her performance as SecState is more important to me, and I don't like that at all.

Really, a lot of the difference is that we just didn't hear about everything that happened, back then. First, there was no internet then. Second, the media wasn't quite the 'sharks' they are now.

A good example was Kennedy's womanizing. We never heard about that - until after he was dead and gone.

I still see nothing wrong with going out and having a beer and taking a break from the routine. I sure wouldn't expect her to sit in her hotel room all night, every night, reading.

I doubt seriously the locals thought anything negative about this. More likely, they were delighted to see "some American muckety-muck" actually behave like a real person for a while. We don't know the circumstances of this trip, nor do we know who might have invited her out ... for all we know her local counterpart was there too, having invited her and her party out for a beer and some music. I see nothing wrong with that.

And I am about as far away from being a HIllary Clinton fan as one could get. I know very well the way she operates, and how underhanded she can be in her dealings. I have no respect for her. But I won't begrudge even Hillary having a little R&R.

If this was the most serious problem we had, I'd be one happy camper.

The NY Post got kind of snarky.............their headline read "Swillery." I have to admit I got a pretty good laugh over that one when I first heard about it on FOX. Then again.............I have a sense of humor. ;)

I personally think it's ok if Hillary has a beer or two in public. But that picture bothers me....who are the two guys? She IS Sec of State, and as such, carries with her State Secrets.... Doesn't the former First Lady have Secret Service protection?

That airplane picture was from the 2008 campaign - about 4 years old.

I think the outrage over Hillary drinking a beer in Columbia is silly. It takes the focus off of the things we should be outraged about.

youtube.com

In a little cafe just the other side of the border
She was just sitting there givin' me looks that made my mouth water
So I started walking her way
She belonged to bad man, Jose
And I knew, yes I knew I should leave
When I heard her say, yeah

Come a little bit closer
You're my kind of man
So big and so strong
Come a little bit closer
I'm all alone
And the night is so long

So we started to dance
In my arms, she felt so inviting
That I just couldn't resist
Just one little kiss so exciting
Then I heard the guitar player say
"Vamoose, Jose's on his way"
Then I knew, yes I knew I should run
But then I heard her say, yeah

Come a little bit closer
You're my kind of man
So big and so strong
Come a little bit closer
I'm all alone
And the night is so long

[Instrumental break]

Then the music stopped
When I looked the cafe was empty
Then I heard Jose say
"Man you know you're in trouble plenty"
So I dropped my drink from my hand
And through the window I ran
And as I rode away
I could hear her say to Jose, yeah

Come a little bit closer
You're my kind of man
So big and so strong
Come a little bit closer
I'm all alone
And the night is so long

La la-la-la la-la
La la-la-la la-la
Ho ho la-la
La la la-la
