Yes I used to think that way also.. but that is dead wrong IMO..It is ONLY NOT a freedom machine when the user is incapable of saying no or incapable prioritizing properly... then yes it magnifies the problem.. not a failure of the the tool. it does not steal your time.. you give it away.. think about that.. .. If it keeps you connected to things that you do not want to hear about.. it is your failing IMO.. I love mine.. and I just ignore crap.. :O) Used to be if I put on a trade I was married to my desktop.. not anymore.. Garbage in garbage out.. very simple.. I resisted for a long time.. now I am sorry that I did,.. it greatly enhances good time management and prioritization skills.. but agree it is anathema to those that cannot do that.. but it is not the tool that is failing :O) I am on the ski hill and I get a text from my daughter.. instant reply and peace of mind.. client.. I'll check the message later.. maybe ... after all I am on vacation then... what would you do :O). Personally knowing that my kids are safe is not an imposition on my time but a liberating experience.. Clients.. aw.. not on vacations.. :O)
